Hello! My name is Alissa Martinson and I love capturing moments that will last forever. I began by just photographing my own kids and expanded to family and friends and eventually in 2017 I created a part time photography business to have more opportunities to do what I love and raise support for my missions trips. By 2021 I was completely booked and having to turn people away so I made the leap of faith and quit my full time job to make Moments By Alissa Photography my full time business.
In 2026 I decided that time was going way too fast with my own kids and I was missing out on too many things with them. So I made the difficult decision to temporarily close my studio and focus more on Weddings, Seniors and on location and outdoor family sessions. I will still be doing some newborn sessions but they will be done in the client's home and I will bring everything to you.
Outside of taking pictures, I am a wife, a mother of 3, an avid coffee drinker and a world traveler. I have been to 14 other countries but Eswatini and South Africa are by far my favorites. If Josh would let us, we would move there.
What started Moments by Alissa
Photography was always a hobby and something that LOVED doing but I also have a passion for missions and humanitarian work in Southern Africa. Mission trips are not cheap and I want to be able to continue to go each year and bring each of my kids with me, so I took my hobby and made it a business. I hope to be heading back to Africa for my 6th time next summer thanks to all of my amazing clients who have chosen me to capture their moments.
